I am in your court. One of the backs that I opened up holes for has done somethings behind the sceans for this. Dick Nelson has worked with the current administration to try to open diolouge in this areana. The deaf ears syndrom has been the effect thus far. Santa Clara missed the boat by dropping the sport. In most cases the football programs in colleges today are the banks that fund the other smaller programs within the school. If managed properly the program can help sustain programs like volley ball, waterpolo, softball, lacrosse, rugby, and in some cases track and basketball.
In my current state of residency, Iowa, the Iowa Football programs windfall flows over to the other programs and helps keep them going.
