Your bitch will feel very restless, she might get up and lay back down again, she will pant heavy and refuse food or water. If she is close to labor her rectal temp. will drop below 100 F dogs normal temp is 101.5F. Your dog may pace around and scratch at the floor. Several days before she has a puppy she may lose a clearish cloudy discharge from her vagina, this is normal. If there are any signs of dark greenish fluid coming out of her vagina before she has any puppies this could be a sign of a dead puppy.

my bitch is 62 days along and she just became extremely restless and her breathing is slightly faster than usual. i noticed in a pevious response it said the bitch will start to refuse food and water, but she is still drinking quite a bit. she started sleeping more today and i noticed milk (i have heard this means the puppies will come within 48 hours). i havent yet noticed her "water break", but i think she could be very close. are these signs of a dog going into labor?

I have a pug and she isn't refusing food or water. This happens sometimes according to my vet. The others could be signs of labor. This is my first litter, but I have read so much I think I have memorized it all.

My girl is 63 days, she keeps digging in her welping box she is still eating but whenever she wants she comes back to it. She is drinking and urinating she was vomiting like 3 days a go she is breathing and painting heavly off and on I saw a little white discharge from her vigina but she is pretty good at keep herself clean, she us licking herself alot, her stomach us hard as a rock and the pups I feel but they are not moving as much as they were, she keeps getting out of her bos to lay by e with her head on my lap is she in labor ii am so confused

My dog has had all these symptoms she's had one dead pup. I was woudering how to tell if she will have more?

Thank you for your answer. We are on puppy number 5 so far and at least 3 more to go. So far all are fine.

her temp is 99.8 and she is just laying in the chair sleeping
