I noticed my female dog mating with my male on Dec 3, 2007. I estamated her delivery around Feb. 11 2008, but she is an outside dog and our temp. has been really low, like 8 degrees and our wind chill even lower. She is really large and I'm not sure when she first got bred. How long after they go in heat can they get preganant? and if she was still in heat on Dec. 3, when do you think she would give birth. If anyone can help me I would appreciate it. I have placed her in a warm room and am waiting for her to give birth, but I have no idea how long it will be. She is an Australian sheppard and was blind at birth. I didn't want to breed her, but it just kinda happened before I could get her spayed. Her sister was blind and deaf and I have already gotten her spayed. But I just worry about the pups freezing with such low temp's. Thanks

>HOW CAN I TELL THAT MY DOG IS GETTING READY TO GO INTO
>LABOR SHE IS GETTING READY TO HAVE HER PUPPYS
my mini pom bella is due on the 28th of january. her temp dropped on the 26th to 99 degrees..on the 27th to 98.2 degrees. but i noticed she is panting ALOT!!! but her vulva is not large and no discharge is coming out..when can I expect for her to go into labor. It is her 2nd breeding ..she miscarried her first time. I am really worried ..does anyone know when she will give birth or should I cal a vet? I read that she should have birthing 12 to 24hours after her temp dropping.
