Subject: Singles

You know I see a lot of people complain about the singles every week....its the noise or the push starts or the smell or the fact that those that complain have moved on and dont care about where they came from or where their sport came from.

In regards to the noise....its racing and noise is a part of racing. You dont see any race car reagrdless of how much it costs being quiet. So stop using that as an excuse to hate the singles.

In regards to the push starts.....World of Outlaw requires push starts. Isnt that where several of you would like to end up?!?!?! Are you going to turn down the chance to race WOO because you hate push starts? I doubt it, so stop complaining about that too.

In regards to the smell......they all smell. The 600s burn fuel and alcohol that has the same sweet smell that we all love, the singles just give a bit more to smell. Their smoke also helps keep some of the bugs away, so stop complaining about that.

I know that there are a lot of people that don't like Singles, but until they are forced out they will be a part of your Friday and Saturday nights. All of the complaining that goes on this website only hurts the track and it's drivers. Many think that it doesn't, but eventually the Singles will die and there will be those drivers that may want to run a 600, or at least did until they see and hear what is said about them here.

To quote Tyler Utz, "Cant we all just get along?" He makes a good point. I know that some of the guys that have bad mouthed the Singles, used to race a single. Whats up with that? You moved out of the "poor man's class" to something bigger and better so that makes you better than me? I ask and I answer....NO! If the singles die, let them, but if they are surviving, let them do that too. We are all here to race and have fun. Everyone knows that around here you are not going to make $$ racing, but it might lead to something that will.

That is my two cents. It may be worth more or less to you, but it is here anyways.
