Subject: sweet springs

my dad raced in the singles and 600 classes in the mid 90's.i loved going to the track back then to watch him and the other guys that raced their like hathman, billings, shrock, kreisels, hink, knipmyer, winfrey, stanley, koch, merideth,i could go all day about the guys i loved watching.well here we are now in 2006,i have had a 600 car for two years now and i havent went to sweet springs one time.i bet your asking ''why''..well for the simple fact of everything i have read on these boards and heard from racers for the last few years.i live in central missouri and drive to pike county speedway every weekend.sweet springs has the potential to bring WAY more cars then they do,it is one of the nicest well thought out micro tracks around.why dont they get the cars they used to???simple.too much BS..in no way shape or form am i bashing sweet springs cause id love to race there weekly, but from the sound of it it isnt worth the headache to me.my reason for this post is for the board, members and track to take a look at an outsiders point looking in.maybe one day ill get to get out that way, only time will tell.

BTW,i think ALOT of what bill merideth has to say and has said needs to be takin into consideration and done,he has alot of great ideas that would get sweet springs along way!!
