Subject: TRACTION CONTROL!!!!!
In reply to: Delty 's message, "TPS and what it does" on 13:28:08 07/27/06 Thu

Thanks (Delty) for the information on what the TPS actually does - I laughed so hard I had to get up from my desk and walk down the hall!

So basically, what we have found out is: the cars WITHOUT the TPS installed, a locked TPS or a broken TPS are the ONLY ones LEGAL, because their "traction control" units have been removed or are not functional --- That's CLASSIC!!!!

Just kidding - I firmly believe this issue will GO AWAY after this weekend and I hope we (the NMMA) will again learn a lesson to research past rules interpretations (documenting ALL official interpretations is a GOOD idea) and not make hasty decisions that potentially affect large quantities of racers. It is that decision process that is continuing to drive people away from the NMMA and will keep people from wanting to join (rejoin) in the future!
