The sad sight of Quincy Adams having to watch from the bench as the Young Guns of Phoenix blasted Braintree 'A' in their vital clash on Sunday did little to dampen the euphoria of the evening. Some might think that the ageing Adams (thought to be twice the age of most of his team mates) will struggle to regain a regular slot in this Youthful side, but he has the example of fellow 'Senior' player CyberZed, who some thought was permanantly glued to the bench, to follow. He has proved that a policy of not bad-mouthing the Captain or his methods, patiently waiting for a chance and then seizing it, together with the odd well placed pint of lager, can add up to the formula for reselection.

On a different note I overheard Capt Zed say that young Tony's 4/4 was the best Father's day present he could have wished for. But cooked breakfast in bed and the offer to keep car cleaned for an unspecified period of time, might have run it a close second.
