The H building dorm was packed wall to wall with rowdy college students eager to take a break from studying. It was 11:45 on a Friday night and the Kappa Party was live. Cat and Tyra walked into the party and stopped at the entrance looking for someone they knew.
Shomari spotted Cat and Tyra at the door and nodded his head with a smile. He sprinted over to them wearing a white wife beater exposing his smooth butter toned arms that were ripped with muscles. He had on black jeans, tan timberlands and a black and white raiders cap that covered the black shiny curls that were in his hair.
Tyra pinched Cat.
Tyra:Oh Cat I could just die and go to heaven right now that boy is so fine!!!
Cat:Who you telling girl...All these Kappa's are just too fine I think Im a have to step outside
The girls laughed as Shomari gave them a hug
Shomari:Whats so funny?
Tyra:Nothing..Just a little inside joke
Shomari:Oh well how yall doing Im glad to see yall made it. Looking just as good as yall wanna be
Cat:Uh un boy dont get me started on you or your brothers. I like how yall coordinating and stuff
Shomari: thank you well let me take yall jackets for and uh yall drinking tonight
Cat looked at Tyra and shrugged...Her call.
Tyra:Yea
Shomari:All right to the refrigerator ladies!!
The girls giggled and walked arm and arm with Shomari. All the upperclassman girls looked at Cat and Tyra with suspicious eyes. Who were these little freshman with their number one Kappa?
Shomari handed the girls cups of what looked like greenKool-Aid then walked up the stairs.
Shomari:I'll be right back yall and I'll introduce you to the fellas Cat.
Cat smiled as she saw Shomari wink at Tyra who burst into girlish giggles. When Shomari walked away Cat slapped Tyra on her arm.
Cat:Girl can you be any more obvious?Make him work for it!
Tyra:Shut up girl Im about to have him in the palm of my hands.
Cat:Yea whatever. What is this?
Cat took a sip of the green drink. And then gulped down the rest
Tyra:I cant believe you just drunk that so fast. Its called the Incredible Hulk because when you mix Hypnotiq with Hennessy it turns green.
Cat:Ohhhhhhh
Tyra:Girl you about to be messed up
Tyra laughed at Cat as Shomari walked over to them

Olamide sat on the couch with Des whinning. The baby had been crying all night and Lams had a class the next morning.
Krys:Olamide its okay leave just pick the baby back up tomorrow after class because I have a job interview at 3
Lams:Alright Krys. Im sorry girl, if I didnt have a class so early tomorrow you know I'd love to keep my baby.
Krys:I know Olamide
Lams:Alright well Im gonna go and try to get some sleep.Jason let mommy get some sleep too man
Krys laughed
Krys:Say nooo Daddy thats not happening tonight.

The music vibrated through Cats body as she danced with Joshua one of the fine Kappa's that Shomari had introduced her to.
Cat had never felt so free as the liquor rushed through her system. She had the urge to do things she had never done before. Joshua turned Cat around so he could seduce her with a kiss and he succeeded. Cat felt a new sensation as she felt Joshua's strong chocolate hands rub up and down her backside. Slowly but surely she pulled away.
Joshua: Something wrong?
Cat: Yea I- I - I need some air.
Joshua: OK lets go sit on the steps.
Cat:Alright.
Outside under the stars Cat looked up at Joshua with drunken eyes ready to expose her soul. Joshua laid his hand on her thigh and kissed her again. Cat pulled way
Cat: You know what's so funny?
Joshua:Naw what's that?
Cat: I've been with my boyfriend since I was 14 and you've gotten just as fas as he has.
Joshua smacked his teeth and stood up. His smooth dark skin glistened under the porch light.
Joshua: So you got a man ma? And you a virgin?
Cat: Yea can you believe it? Im like the only virgin in the world.
Joshua: Actually your not.. But if you stay out here long enough with me looking all good in that dress you aint gon be one for long. So we betta' get you home beautiful.
Joshua helped Cat stand to her feet.
Joshua: What dorm you stay in?
Cat: Katherine Hall
Joshua:Alright let me get you home.
Cat leaned on Joshua's shoulder as he walked her to the dorm.
Joshua: I aint one to break up no ones relationship but if you ever get tired of your man Im here.
Cat smiled and walked up to her room. The next morning she woke up nauseous with a huge headache. Des had left earlier to go with Olamide to his Saturday class and Tyra still hand made it home from the party. After throwing up in the bathroom 5 times and going over the events that took place last night Cat ran her fingers through her curly hair,
Cat: How am I ever going to tell John what happened last night? Im never drinking again!

Olamide sat in the car beside Des ready to walk all the way to Krystinas house.
Lams: Des Im just saying you could have helped me with the baby last night.
Des:Thats not my child!
Olamide: OK Des I f--ked up! How many times you want to hear that? I got a baby now and you being my future wife should be there for me.
Des: Whatever Olamide
Olamide turned the car around without another word.
Des: Where are you going Olamide?
Lams: Im taking you a** home
Olamide gritted his teeth the whole ride back to campus.

Krys looked out the window for Lams car but it was not where in sight at 2:30.
Krys mumbled to herself as she wiped a tear of frustration away.
Krys: I cant believe this.
She sat Jason in his car seat, grabbed her purse and walked down the stairs to Mrs. Rosies apartment.
Krys: Im sorry Mrs. Rosie but I really need you to watch Jason for me today.
Krys started crying, she could no longer hold it in. Jason had kept her up all night and Olamide lied to her.
Mrs. Rosie: honey what's wrong?
Krys: I had a job interview at 3 and my babys father was supposed to pick Jason up but he hasn't came yet.
Olamide pulled into the driveway. Krys smiled embarrassed.
Krys: There he goes now. Boy is he going to hear my mouth.
Mrs.Rosie: Okay honey just stop by when you get home.
Krys walked over to Lams carrying the baby in the carseat. Her hands were too full to wipe the tears that were streaming down her cheeks.
Lams:Oh Krys Im so sorry. I had the worst day.
Krys:Tell me about it. First off Jay kept me up all night, secondly Im on the bus so Im going to be late to my interview.
Lams:No your not, I'll drive you. Get in the car.
Lams drove off after strapping the baby in the carseat.
Lams:What going on with you girl?
Krys:What's going on with me? Being a mother is a hard job Lams. I feel like Im doing this by myself. I don't have much money, I got to get up and go to school and now I have to get a job to help pay some of these bulls.
Lams:Well Krys I don't know what to do. I mean I live almost an hour away from yall. I got homework up the a**. I mean sometime I think I should just go to the J.C with you so I could help out more with you and the baby but my Mom and Des are not going for that.
Krys:I know

Tyra walked into her dorm late into the afternoon
Tyra: Hey wheres Des and Cash?
Cat:Des went to Lams Saturday class and Cash went home for the weekend
Tyra:Oh
Tyra laid flat out on the couch wearing a huge grin.
Cat:You didnt!
Tyra continued to smile
Cat:You did you little freak. How was it?
Tyra:It was too be good to be true girl...I love Shomari!
Cat laughed
Cat:Are you serious?
Tyra:Yes girl!

Cat avoided John the whole weekend she still didnt know what to say to him. She thought everything would be okay if she could wait another week but John followed Des into their dorm Monday evening. He saw Cat sitting on the couch watching BET.
John:So Cat is their anything you want to tell me?
Cat:No
John:Well thats real funny because I was in the dining halls with my boys and they told me this guy was pushing up on one of the flyyest girls at the party named Cat. And thats kind of crazy cause my girls name is CAt.
Cat:John its not what you think.
Cat got up and tried to take Johns hand but he snatched it away.
Cat:John its not what you think.
John:I think everyone in school know some nigga named Josh kissed my girl. Thats what it means.
Cat:And it dont mean nothing cause I love you John
John:Yea alright Cat. I guess payback really is a b**ch.
John walked out of the room. Tyra Cash and Des stood in the doorway listening
Des:Dang yall what did I miss
Tyra:You kissed Joshua
Cat rolled her eyes
Cat:Leave me alone

Cat and Jackie who recently made up stood together at the snackbar inside their school.
Krys:Oh my gosh Jackie how did you do it those first months without Jamal their to help you?
Jackie:Well I had my Mom you know.
Krys:I know and I have the lady next door. I never knew that being a teenage mother was going to be so hard.
Jackie shook her head
Jackie:You sound so depressing right now. You'll make it through.
And suddenly the words got stuck in Krystinas throat.
There was Talib grinning. Not at Krystina but at his new female companion who stood at 5'8 with beautiful black hair and black skin that looked like it had been generously kissed by the sun. The girl was beautiful and Krystina couldn't deny it.
Krys:Oh no Im going to be since
Jackie looked over and saw Talib
Jackie:Oh Kryscome on lets get out of here.

John laid on his bed in his dorm room. He hadn't said much since he found out that Cat had betrayed him. Cat walked into the room wearing a baby blue tube dress with her curly hair in a ponytail.
John: You need to get out
Cat:John listen to me!!! All the time you made mistakes and the one time I slip up and kiss a guy who meant nothing to me you wanna end us? When you want to get real John you know where you could find me.

That Friday Cat laid on the couch watching reruns of "Living Single" in her bright pink night gown. She was surprised to hear a knock on the door and walked slowly to the door to open it. She saw John on the other side wearing a very serious face. She took one long sigh and opened the door ready for WW3
John walked inside without saying a word to Cat. He took a seat on the couch. Cat gave John a funny look but took a seat facing him. The two stared at eachother in an awkward silence. Then finally John licked his pinkish lips took a deep breath and began to speak.
John: I had three weeks to think about me and you....And I realized that Im all you know.. So you kissing Josh kind of set me off ...I never for a second thought how you felt..you know, with me and Letonia...But it hurts Cat, it hurts so bad..and Im sorry cat, Im sorry for all the times I ever hurt you.
Cat:Im sorry too John
John looked at Cat then laid his head in his hands. He looked up at cat again and stared deep in his eyes.
John:Cat do you love me?
Cat smacked her lips the question seemed ridiculous to her
Cat:Of course I love you John, you know that already.
John shook his head
John:No Cat Im serious. Do you love me? Do you see yourself spending the rest of your life with me?
John wiped away a tear that fell from his eyes and got up to sit next to Cat.
Cat:Yes John I really do love you.. I don't want nobody else man.
John took cats hand in his and slid a gold ring on her finger.
John:Then marry me tonight Cat.. We may be young and all but Im ready to be with you Cat for good.
Cat laughed nervously
Cat:Tonight?
John:yea.
Cat smiled
Cat:I don't believe this. Where are we going to go
John:Theres this little chapel right outside of town.
Cat and John rode in the car like two kinds in love, and they were. They sung along to every song on the radio making it theirs.

Lams laid on the couch in Krystinas livingroom with Jason asleep in his arms. Krys walked in the room and sat on the floor leaning on the couch.
Krys:Talk to me Lams
Lams remained silent. He didn't want to talk.
Krys:Whats going on with you and Des?
Lams: Were together and everythings good. Its just that everytime I try to talk to her about Jason she freezes up on me. She don't never wanna hold him she only looked at him like one time.
Krys nodded her head.
Krys:Even though I cant stand the girl I think I know where shes coming from. If I was in her shoes I would of kicked my own a**
Krystina and Lams both laughed
Krsy:Shes going to have to understand that the baby is here now and if she loves you shes going to have to love Jason too because hes apart of you, you know.
Lams:I know and if she dont are relationship is ...
Krys:She'll come around..Its Des your talking about. Its very hard for us girls to let go of anything Olamide. Give her time
Lams yawned.
Lams:I am
Krys got up to give Lams a cover she kissed him and Jason on the forehead.
Krys:Goodnight
Lams:Goodnight Krys.

Cat and John walked into the wedding chapel with nervous jitters. After filling out the form and paying the $250 cost, Cat and John were 2 minutes from the altar they both looked into eachothers eyes
John:you sure you ready to do this Cat
Cat nodded her head yes
Cat:What about you?
John:Yea Im ready
After saying eachothers vows Cat in blue jeans and a pink and white stripped tube top and John in baggy Phatfarm jeans and a baby blue phatfarm shirt. John and Cat shared their first kiss together as Mr. and Mrs. Fitch. They walked hand in hand together to the phone both. Cat was so excited she had to tell someone. John leaned on the wall beside the telephone booth.
Cat: Are we about to drive all the way back home?
John grinned mischievously
John: I was just thinking we could get a hotel room
Cat gave a sly smile as she pressed her body against his to give him a sweet kiss.
Cat: My oh my Mr.Fitch I've been waiting for this night since the day that I've met you.
Cat slid over and picked up the phone to dial Deshones number. Des picked up the phone on the 6th ring. Who was calling her at 1:30 a. m?
Des: What?
Cat: Des its Cat, don't be mad, congratulate me.
Des: What'd you do Cat?
Cat: Im married. Me and Jiz got married tonight.
Des: You what?! Without me?! Wheres your Mom? Does she know?
Cat:OMG. My bestfriend is 'spose to be happy for me and no she doesn't know shes going to kill me. But I cant think about that right now. Im in love.
Des smiled through the other end.
Des: Congratulations lady.
Cat:Thankyou. Well, Im going to go consummate my marriage. So I will see you Monday.
Des hung up the phone and laughed to herself. Everything was happening so fast. She couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen next. Or maybe she could.
