Sarquint kisses Small Wonder on the top of her head, holding her close against him. He gazes up at the sky; he could stay like this forever. Really, they had never had much time together. Just together. There was always something going on. Some crisis that had to be dealt with. Some child that had gone astray. So he was perfectly content, happy, and loving to be here now. With just Small Wonder.

After some time, he speaks up softly. "Do you miss it?" he asks. "The Everlasting Heart, I mean. I do, and I don't. I miss the friends and loved ones�and even enemies, to some degree�I parted ways with. But not, I think, the place itself. It was never home to me; the only thing that made it home was the wolves there. But there was just so much pain, so much conflict," he shakes his head sadly, "so much tragety. Seeing those you love suffering so much..." He sighs and pulls Small a little closer to him. "I don't miss that."
