I also was brought up in Partick. I lived at #2 Crawford St. ( right across from the pub on the corner ) I attended the school on Rosevale St. between 1949 and 1953. Do you recall the fish and chip shop on Crawford St? I wonder if you knew my uncle Dougie Taylor. He lived upstairs with us at #2 Crawford St. He belonged to the Blackwatch division back in the early 40's. His best pal also lived in our building. His last name was Mitchell. (I think his first name was John.) I will contact my uncle and ask if he knew Sash Walker or your self. We both live in the Toronto Ont. Canada area now.
