Näkemykset kanan, sian ym. luiden vaarallisuudesta perustuvat yleensä siihen, että ko. luut ja lähes mitkä tahansa luut voivat tosiaan olla vaarallisia jos niitä antaa koirille kypsennettyinä, silloin ne helposti lohkeilevat vaarallisiksi ja teräviksi. Kaikki luut siis pitää antaa ehdottomasti raakoina. Broilerin siipien luut ovat niin pehmeitä, jopa kohta 11 v. kääpiöni, jolta puuttuu jopa osa hampaista, pureskelee siivet kuin jotain keksiä söisi.
