Meillä on myös Hurtta-tuotteen samainen haalari (tosin lahkeet ovat liian lyhyet, mutta muuten oikein hyvä). Nyt meidänkin Roopella on nätti terrieri-leikkaus, joten ei tarvitse takuista huolehtia. Silloin kun Roope vielä kävi näyttelyssä leijona-turkissa, turkin suojaaminen oli meilläkin ongelmana. Me käytettiin ihan tavallista manttelia silloin. Haalari oli vähän epäkäytännöllinen, kun niskatukkaa ei saanut vedettyä kokonaan sisään millään ja sehän niitä takkuja vasta aiheuttikin!! Laitoin lenkille lähtiessä niskatukan ihan kevyesti ponnarille manttelin alle (ei kuminauhalla, hankala saada märästä turkista pois). Ainoastaan päätukka, tassut ja häntä kastuivat, mutta niiden kuivaamiseen riittää pelkkä pyyhe. Pahimman takkuvaiheen aikana harjasin tassuja ja häntää auki noin kymmenen minuuttia joka ilta ja se oli siinä.
