Bending spoons is a reality, I have been bending ANY common spoon since I was 15yo (I'm 31 now), its a reaction between static in the body. Once you know how to prepare its a doddle.

Static electricity (or anything else naturally stored or emitted by the body) cannot bend metal. In order to disfigure steel or any other metal likely to be used to make spoons, the discharge would be so great that it would kill you instantaneously!

...to think its slight of hand is self illusion.

This is a common trick performed by many magicians. Try ordering Gellerism, by Ben Harris, from any magic store. No mystery to solve here.

Paul Hayward.
