Welcome, seekers after truth! After several years learning about magic, it began to dawn on me that some of my most cherished beliefs were, in fact, misguided. Not only were some of the people I had taken for genuine dabblers in the supernatural merely tricksters, but so much of what might once have fooled me, started to look...well, fake. Obviously so.

So I began reading the skeptical literature. Houdini's Miracle Mongers and their Methods and Houdini on Magic, James Randi's The Truth About Uri Geller, and numerous essays from skeptic sites throughout the Web.

And now I want to share my knowledge (and opinions). This new discussion forum is for believers and skeptics alike, to air their views on psychics, fakirs, mediums, and other purveyors of paranormal chicanery (?).

I want this to be a place where people can fight, curse, bitch, moan, write ramblingly sagacious essays, make friends, share their theories about the latest paranormal cons - anything goes. All ask is that discussion is kept fairly civil, and legitimate magical performers are respected.
