Subject: Good book for volume 1, unit 1

I just ran across this book that I had and loved as a kid and it was one of my favorites. I know it's not in print anymore, but if you run across it at a yard sale or thrift store, grab it up. It's a Golden Exploring Book called Nature Hikes. It looks kind of like a coloring book. It has wonderful pictures and great text. It includes birds to look for, field animals and their tracks, wildflowers, weeds and grasses, and all kinds of information about wildlife in fields, woods, and ponds. It even has a section about dangers to beware of. It would be great for your nature explorations.
