Subject: Those of you up north

I have seen a few of you mention that the winters up north prevent you from completing some of the outside activities. Have you checked your library for videos, such as bird migration? Or maybe you can spend a week in the warmer months with a camcorder and play outside while recording anything you see that might come in handy later. If you don't have a camcorder, you can rent one or just take a bunch of photos. Also. our library has a used book store, for very cheap we can pick up old issues of Nat'l Geo or Audubon, ect. that feature something you are studying. It's not the same as the outside activities, but you still have fun learning. Popcorn and a nature movie. Cut photos from a magazine to make that collage of birds. Put bird facts on flash cards for a trivia game. Take a nice photo from a magazine down the copy store or use your printer and scanner and copy it onto card stock, then cut into puzzle peices, time each other how fast it can be put together. The possibilities are endless.
I love sharing ideas and hope we can all inspire each other.
Blessings,
Anita
