"My friend and mentor Sharon puts her endless energy into projects to better the lives of those around her. At the end of each summer, Sharon hosts a back-to-school clothing giveaway at the laundromat her husband owns. She collects clothing donations from people in the community, washes them and puts the clothes on display. She invites underprivileged children and teens in the area to "shop" for the clothes without spending a dime. Sharon also organizes a book giveaway in community housing projects and hosts an annual seminar at the community center to foster self-esteem in teenage girls. Sharon takes on many roles as a writer, photographer, mentor, wife an dmother, but no matter which hat she chooses, she's always touching someone's heart."
