Subject: Re: I am Ray's Daughter

Today 12/31/14 i ran across this site after my annual sojourn reading about your father and looking at images which i have done since the year your dad passed. Since most of these posts are already years old i don't know if you will ever see this one. I worked with Ray back in the early days of his career i was the lighting director for Harlette the original Van Halen cover band and so much more. We as a group not only worked together but spent many hours days and weeks together we were a family with your dad as the nucleus. We laughed together played together cried together fought side by side when necessary together.
It was a great time. I am sorry you didn't have the time to get to know him better, by now i would guess you have gotten enough folks to tell you all about him so i won't annoy you with details. Just know your father was a very talented man, good hearted with a tremendous sense of humor. Who was ready to be a dad, but not sure if he was ready to settle down with your mom (who was/is a terrific lady..we used to hang at the Soap Factory in New Jersey like it was our second home) at that point but he loved her very much. He was at a time in his career he felt he could make it and potentially put together a very good life for your mother and yourself. Just know that. I miss him very much as does the rest of us who knew him well.
Hope all is well with you and though your mom probably won't remember me give her my regards.
