Subject: Extra-Inning Pumpkin Bars

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup whole-wheat flour
1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup apple juice
1 can (16 ounces) or 2 cups pumpkin
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
2 tablespoons margarine or butter,softened
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 to 3 tablespoons plain yogurt
Nutmeg for garnish,if desired

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Grease and flour 15-by-10-inch baking pan.In large bowl, beat flours, brown
sugar,baking powder,baking soda,cinnamon,nutmeg, cloves, salt,oil,
apple juice,pumpkin and eggs at low speed until moistened. Beat 2 minutes
at medium speed.Spread in greased and floured pan.

Bake in preheated oven 20 to 30 minutes,or until toothpick inserted in
center comes out clean.Cool completely.

In medium bowl,combine powdered sugar,butter,vanilla and enough yogurt
for desired spreading consistency;beat until smooth.Frost cooled bars;
sprinkle with nutmeg,if desired.Refrigerate to set frosting.Makes 48
bars.
