Subject: INTENSE CHOCOLATE TORTE..Oooh guys and dolls INTENSE!!

CRUST:
1 cup toasted and coarsely chopped pecans
1 cup graham cracker crumbs(about 10 double crackers)
2 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons (1/2 stick)unsalted butter,melted,plus more if needed
FILLING:
1 pound semisweet chocolate,chopped
1 cup whipping cream
6 large eggs,beaten
3/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup all-purpose flour

Cooks love this because it is so easy to make.It is rich, so serve
only
skinny slices with espresso if possible.

To make Crust:In a medium bowl,combine all crust ingredients,using
more
melted butter if needed to make crust stick together.Press mixture
onto
bottom and 1 1/2 inches up sides of a 9-inch springform pan.

To make Filling:In a medium saucepan, heat chocolate and cream over
low
heat until chocolate melts.Remove from heat and set aside. In an
electric
mixer or large bowl, combine eggs, sugar and flour.Beat 10 minutes (or
less
if you're beating by hand),or until thick and lemon-colored. Fold 1/4
of
egg mixture into chocolate mixture, then fold chocolate mixture into
remaining egg mixture.Pour filling into crust.

Bake in preheated 325-degree oven about 45 minutes or until puffed
around
edges halfway to center.Let cool on a wire rack 20 minutes, then
remove
side of springform pan.Let cool 4 hours before serving. Makes 16
servings.
