Subject: Sauteed Rice

2 cups rice
3 cups water
1/2 cup oil or butter
1/2 cup very fine noodles or vermicelli(optional)
Salt to taste
Optional:
1/2 pound ground lamb or beef,cooked
1/2 cup pine seeds or almond slivers,sauteed

Saute noodles with oil until golden.Add rice,salt,and water.Bring
to a boil. mmediately lower heat to a minimum.Leave alone until
rice is cooked.Stir and serve.

For optional meat and pine/almond seeds:Cook meat and add
pine/almond seeds to saute and cook.Top platter of rice with meat
and pine seed combination.

Yield: 8 to 10 servings
