Subject: Baked figs with raspberries

8 ripe figs
8 small basil leaves
3 tablespoons soft goat cheese,at room temperature

Slice figs in half vertically,cutting off the little hard button at
the stem end.Lay open,skin side down,on tray.Push a basil leaf
into the soft center of each fig half and top with about 1/2 teaspoon
of cheese.Serve.

Note:You can substitute your favorite soft cheese for the goat cheese.

For a dramatic presentation, line tray with fig leaves.
