Subject: Quondong pie

Pick about 35 or 40 nice ripe quondongs
Pit the fruit and wash it
place in a pan of fresh water with a little sugar added and bring to simmer
Simmer for about 12 to 15 minutes
pour the following custard over them
Custard.... Quarter cup sugar, four eggs, 3 cups milk,
dash of vanilla essence, couple desert spoons of corn flour.
Bring this custard mix to simmer, simmer for about five minutes. DON'T BOIL IT
now pour this custard over the cooked quondongs and serve
Bloody tasty desert as cooked by drovers and station cooks for years... George Rarf
