Warriors is the first Vicki¡¯s movie I watched , and it is also the second Chinese film I saw in The States (the first one is Hero). I must admit that Vicki ¡®s acting was great and she was dedicated beautiful in the movie, though there was not much room for her character. Her narration of the story was excellent. Her voice was soft mixed with some fear and emotion, exactly reflecting the atmosphere of movie. I love her narration. The next step for Vicki¡¯s success in both domestic and oversee film industry, I think, is showing her capable to act in leading character as well as that in supporting roles. The success I mention here is not being invited by directors to act in their films. The success for Vicki right now is that her performance is recognized not only by majority audiences but also by experts.

I agree with you that Vicki¡¯s creativity acting in HGZZ made her a raising star in China six years ago. But I have to say that creativity without spirit (just try to be different, or explore something nobody has not yet tried before) is not always right. Vicki is smart and with more and more acting experience, I believe she will give us a good answer in the near future.


It is fine for me that Vicki to try bad characters, but no evil person. Being bad is not necessary evil. Sometimes bad character is very complicate and difficult to handle. It is new challenge for Vicki.
