Yes, Scott's place is a bit of a hole. He could use spells and charms and home decorating elves (?) and make it look so pretty but no, he kind of likes it this way. It's the way he likes it and he knows where everything is. Besides, there's probably laws against that so whatever. Scott passes off her remark with a bit of a laugh, to 'ease the tension', because, trust me, there is a lot of it.

"Better than nothing, I guess," he says, with a shrug. His brain, the asshole side, wants him to say something like 'Oh, WELL. And you are just miss interior decorator, aren't you?'. Heck, it'd make him feel better. But he's a good boy and he does not. Sighing, he glances around the room before saying what it is she's around here to hear: an apology. Whether she wants to hear it or not is tough shit for her, because dammit, he's gonna say it.

"Um, I wanted to say sorry for the other night. Saying that stuff and probably making you and Rodney have a bit of a spat. I shouldn't have brought it up. 'It' being what we--ok, I'm just going to stop talking and say 'Sorry'." Good boy, Scott. Shut up and be quiet, because you're making an ass of yourself. As usual.
