. the stallion erupts from undergrowth, spraying brambles and galloping to briar's side. matching pace with the boy's full out run easily he snorts, teasing, thn letting the boy leap onto his back and continuing the arc towards briar's friends.

.x. grateful for the ride, he pats the stallion's neck once, then slow's the animal till so as not to outrun the people on the ground. he gallops to the left and slightly to the rear-to avoid spraying them with rock's and mud-of lily. he calls out a question, something that had just occured to him .x.

"where's koji?"

.x. if the boy was with lily he couldn't see it. .x.

[occ-real quicky questions. one, do the guards have horses? two, is koji there? thanks.]
