»- -quarter mile away, fourteen year old girl pales, almost loosing control of the silver mare . skittish horse rears, frightened at her friend's sudden loss of control . pulls the reins of the white horse back, calling out to her siblings with burning telepathy instead . :[soi! chiriko! i need you know at the forest, there's a loose tornado tearing up the-]: . telepathic message is cut off by a flying tree . digs into the mare's side with her heels, flinging the horse onto the ground . horse whinnies in protest, struggling to get up . cold hand pats the mare's side protectively, whispering gentle, calming words into her ear . mare twitches and relaxes, waiting for the shivering girl to get up . lifts a hand and waves it back and forth, sending waves of magic toward the oncoming whirlwind.
