Subject: Axl Rose in a bent direction

"Chinese Democracy" is taking so long to come out because Axl Rose is taking the most time he can for this album. After all, the guy's been a near recluse for the last couple of years. Unfortunately though, all this time spent is giving way to a new industrial sound to a band we don't associate with any sound other than pure rock n' roll. This is the reason why Slash left, this is the reason why Axl is now lost with this new project. Guns N' Roses are not recognized as an industrial band, they've always been pure rock n' roll. And the name cannot exist without Slash being a part of it. Our expectations may even be too high for Chinese Democracy. "Oh My God" is good, who cares about the reviews, it's good. But it's just not Guns N' Roses. I can't wait for Chinese Democracy to come out, we've been waiting nine years for new material to surface. I think Guns N' Roses would be a great thing for music now, but I don't think it'll be what we're expecting. The name will be there, Axl Rose will be there, but that's about it. Sure, it'll be called Guns N' Roses, but it will never be the same as it once was. It'll be an Axl Rose project, named Guns N' Roses. The actual magic will never be there until Slash rejoins. Let's face it, Axl Rose and Slash together made Guns N' Roses. Until then, we shouldn't put high expectations on this new album. But hey, we should be happy that Axl Rose finally has something going again.
