Hallo Alle
Nachdem ich eine 20 GB Platte in mein 760XD
eingebaut habe schien zuerst alles im gruenen
Bereich, erstmal den Ontrack Treiber installiert
Dos bootete und alles schien in Ordnung.

Als ich dann Linux installierte und einen Moment
nicht aufgepasst habe fings an:
Lilo ueberschreibt den mbr der Festplatte und
mit einem Mal liess sich Dos nicht mehr booten.
Weder von Diskette noch von Festplatte.

Da sich Linux zu meiner grossen Verwunderung
noch Problemlos booten liess erstellte ich
die Bootdisketten fuer win2000 und siehe da
es liess sich auch installieren.
(und laeuft bisher Problemlos)

Leider ist es nicht moeglich den Ontrack Treiber
von win2000 aus neu zu installieren und dos
startet ja nicht.
Ausserdem habe ich das Gefuehl das sich das
Ontrack Teil ohne Datenverlust gar nicht
auf eine Platte die bereits Daten enthaelt installieren laesst.

Hatt jemand ne Idee wie ich Dos dazu uebereden
kann wieder normal zu Starten ohne vorher
die Platte komplett plattzumachen?
Ich brauch dos/win95 nur noch etwa 3 Monate
aber solange ist es Wichtig.

Das Ontrack Teil scheint ein echtes Problem zu
sein, wenn man nur einmal was falsch macht ist
die ganze Arbeit umsonst.
Oder gibts Moeglichkeiten den Overlay Treiber
zu sichern und auch sauber wieder zurueckzuspielen?
