Well, they kept the truck overnight and I picked it up this afternoon (drove a Kia Optima rental...it was alright).

Someone else just posted about the '02's not having an egr valve, this is true, I have an open area where they used to be! Also, I don't remember seeing this on my '00, but there's a small coffee can-sized thing just after the joint where the two exhaust pipes join together up by the engine. Any Idea? A little ways back from that is the cat, then the muffler out back, so what is this noted item?

Does anyone know if the 02's also got the new fuel injection system, or is that really an '03 item? Kinda strange they'd spread these changes out over several model years.

They checked on the clunking noise I'm having, turns out the bolts on the lower control arm weren't "tightened to specs", so they fixed that...but I still hear something faintly, I'll let it be for now.

My fan problems were apparently due to the clutch binding, they put a new one of those in, also.

My mystery gurgling/sucking noise is gone, the receipt states that the tech reshaped some fuel lines that were vibrating against the bottom of the cab....I know it was a liquid making noise, but, like I said, its gone.

Lastly, my steering wheel was kinda messed up, like someone had twisted the leather, so I had them put a new one in. All seems well, I love that leather wheel.

Thanks for reading, I'm just glad to have my truck back,

-Derek
