I always been a fan of yellow. So when my 91 Mazda B-2200 X-cab was going bad I went shopping. Couldn't fine anything used in yellow for the right price. My wife and I decided to buy new. Back in January, Nissan was the only one with everything I wanted Yellow,4-door,v-6,long bed, etc. etc. They wouldn't leave off the roof rack on the SE model, it was to bulky for my taste. After calling Nissan HQ no luck. So went shopping else where. I bought my s-10 on Jan. 8th. Before I sign the papers, I ask the dealer about any mid-year options he told me none that he knew of. I had serveral maroon cars, so easy choice, dark cherry red. GM sent me a survey a short time later. I wrote, need a bright silver, yellow, more wheel choices, 2 wheel drive and more accessories. Now there's the ZR5, and yellow. I like GMC ZR5 better, the s-10 has black grille, bumpers and wheel moldings, the GMC is mainly all yellow. I sent a e-mail to GM. I got a form letter back. It had nothing to do with what I wrote to them. So a few weeks a ago I went to my Chevy dealer on getting a GMC crew cab in yellow. Since there was a GMC dealer in town he couldn't get one. SO went to GMC dealer, I need to come with about 5 grand "ouch". Thats after dealer discount, GM cash back and buyer supplier program through my work (4% over dealer cost). Well, I'll keep what I got for now, and have fun with it. Still want a yellow GMC crew cab so if my dealer finds a used one maybe we can strike a deal. When the 2004 Chevy and GMC come out maybe I'll let my wife take over the current truck and buy what I really a wanted.
