Subject: Lex

“Oh this is just great.”, Lex mumbled as the rain drops begin to fall from the midnight sky onto his long, dark, slicked back hair. Using his long black trench coat he pulled both sides of it together in a futile attempt to keep himself warm. The morning news show sure would have been useful earlier in the day so he could have been prepared for the bad weather. But since the virus in order to find out the weather you would have to pay those freaky Soothsayers lurking around the streets. Lex would take getting drenched then paying any of those lunatics.

Lex slowly walked through a dark alleyway towards the an abandoned night club he called home. It had been close to a year since he left the Mallrats. He was never the type of guy who looked out for the interest of others before himself because he was a survivor. Survivors had no choice but to look out for themselves and no one else in the New World. Especially with the Enforcers in control. Although apart of him did miss the family atmosphere the mall gave him but no one seemed to understand his point of view. No one gave a damn about him or what he was doing unless it positively or negatively effected their life in some way. But of course they wanted him around when they needed something from him, that was about the only time they give two shits about him. So he left. Lex wasn’t the type of guy who had to be told or asked to leave. He knew when he wasn’t wanted. And besides that, being alone was nothing new to him.

Finally reaching the back entrance to the old abandoned club, he uses one of his jackknife blades to undo the lock and quickly stepped inside. Shaking his long dark hair free he wipes some of his tribal paint from his mouth, which had been streaking as a result of the rain, “I’m melting. Isn’t that…” Then he heard a noise. Someone was inside the club with him. But who? Who knew his whereabouts? And why would they be in the club? Cautiously he holds the blade up, slowly walking towards the area where he heard the sounds of someone else in the room…
