Yes, thank you so! That does help me . . . I was aware of their sustaining propertie and silent functioning (no hum), but I had also read that they actually allow for distinct sounds in the five different positions possessing something like vowel-characteristics (oo, ee, ah, et cetera).

Yes, you would think that Vigier would be better known with Lane, Ron Thal, and Stanley Jordan all using them.

You are most welcome. I photocopied the article from the Library at which I worked and thought it fantastic. Then looking about online I wondered why nobody ever mentioned it. So I figured, to hell with it I'll just post the damn thing myself.

Well, I do hear the occasional "Matrix" line, but usually when someones says "I'm going to enjoy watching you die Mr. Anderson" it is unrelated to the film. Women!
