In reply to: James.A.Boyd 's message, "what shawns music means to you, and what impression does it leave you with?" on 02:24:48 10/17/02 Thu

it has been my estimation that Shawn is stuck in an existential nightmare, similiar to Kafka's Gregor Samsa's dillema when he awoke to find himself transformed into a dung beetle. More precisly Shawn on the Tritone album evokes images of a quazi Saint John of the Cross and his "dark nite of the soul" experience. Perhaps happiness is a warm gun as John Lennon said or perhaps Shawn Lane sold his soul so that he could play in the Halls of Karma and help bring some electricity to arkansas. Regardless of my opinion Shawn plays too fast for his own, perhaps he should start all over and play left handed. Those are my opinions and observations, perhaps some other fans would be willing to share their feelings about what Shawn's music evokes out of them?>hey gang
