I remember finding a large empty shell on the south side of Slieve Lamgan a few years ago. It was lying amonng the deep thick heather. After picking it up to feel its weight - very heavy indeed - we left it there.
There seems to be other pieces of metal about that area, but none bigger than hmmmm the size of a small mobile phone.
No idea if this is related to a crash site or not.
