Lockheed Overseas Corporation (LOC) was based at Langford Lodge along with the USAAF, there primary function was to overhaul, maintain and modify aircraft, Langford Lodge was known as B.A.D 3 or Base Air Depot 3, the other two Base Air Depots being located at Warton and Burtonwood.
