probably you will not get this, message is old, throw in an e-mail address next time.

I have a copy of 'Ireland and World Aviation' The Complete Story from 1988, It breifly relates the story of USNAS opperations from Ireland in 1918. It describes the aircraft as Curtiss H-16.

A quick google search got me this:

Try the US Navy historical Site Naval Historical Center ,
www.history.navy.mil. There should be some i info there.
