Subject: tragedy

I live in florida now, but the day of the terror I was at work speaking with a client on the phone when, I looked over at my tv set on cnbc and they showed this smoke coming out of the twin towers, I sat in disbelief and horror of the many people who may have no way out. my sisters both work on wall street and I phone them right away. as we spoke another plane hit as I watched on the tv. I just screamed and told them to get out. I stayed in the office till after noon till I heard they were safe. I am so fortunate that none of my family members were injured. my aunt had retired from aon insurance co. where she lost many of her co-workers. I too wanted to drive to ny asap to help as many people as I could, but here in orlando the lines around the corner to give blood and every supermarket donated 1.00 of every sale to the victims families and all the special events held here helped me feel better about not being able to help in ny. I just visited last week and just cried, I also went to visit canarsie and cried at the way it has become so much like a slum, why does it have to be that way??I will never inderstand...

MOM SOLD OUR HOUSE ON EAST 94 STAND SEAVIEW IN 2000. YES CANARSIE WAS SUCH A GREAT PLACE FORME TO GROW UPAND LEARN. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. MY FAMILY WEREMEMBERS OF THE SEAVIEW POOL CLUB WHICH WAS ON EAST 108 ST AND SEAVIEW. I REMEMBER I WAS A COUNSELOR THERE. THOSE WERE THE GOOD OLD DAYS. THE POOL PARTYS AT THE SEAVIEW POOL CLUB AND OLD FRIENDS THAT I MISS AND GOOD OLD AVENUE L WHICH YOU CANNOT RECOGNIZE ANYMORE. CHS WHERE I GRADUATED IN 1981. SUCH FOND MEMORIES. R.I.P. MY DAD, GRANDPAS AND GRANDMAS IN HEAVEN.

AS FOR THE WTC - I MET MY EXHUSBAND THERE IN 1989 WHEN I WORKED FOR DEAN WITTER IN 2 WTC - 44TH FLOOR. I WAS THERE UNTIL 1994 AFTER GIVING BIRTH TOAMANDA. MY MEMORIES AND FOND MEMORIES OF CO-WORKERS ARE ALL GONE. I AM SICKTOMY STOMACH ABOUT THE WTC. I WORKED IN THE WTC IN 1993 WHEN IT WAS BLOWN UP IN THE BASEMENT OF THE VISTA. SO I TRULY KNEW SOMETHING WAS EVENTUALLY GOING TOHAPPEN. NOW WE HAVE TO CLOSE OUR BORDERS TO ALL IMMIGRANTS. UNFORTUNATELY THE PRESIDENT WILL NOT NUKE IRAQ OR AFGHANISTAN BUT IF I WAS THE PRESIDENT I WOULD NOT THINK TWICE. ELIMINATE THE ENEMY NOW. PRESIDENT BUSH
