Skip---I am in tears reading your poem/song---and I will surely pray for him.
You see, my mom died of pancreatic cancer a few years back. She lived about five months after finding out. She was on morphine the last few months. I know the pain that you feel---wish I could give you a hug. The best thing you can do is to be there for him as much as you possibly can now. Let him know that you will be allright, as parents worry about us no matter how old we are. That will make it easier for him...acceptance is the key.
Be thankful that you had him for as long as you did and he will be with you forever. Smile---for you are loved and be strong for him. Love you, Lush
