Subject: A Prayer for my dad and a song for everyone's

I am asking you all to pray for my father so that his pain will be minimal. He definitely has pancreatic cancer and he will need everyone's prayer to help him through this. I wrote him this song that I am sharing with you now and you are free to pass it along to your father's if you wish.

NOTHING IS FOREVER

As a child my dad was forever; So smart, so strong, nothing could do him harm; and the lessons he taught me were good for a lifetime, yea, dad was a friend of mine.

(Chorus) But nothing lasts forever; no man has seen all that time. If I knew then what I know now, I'd have given him so much more time.

As I grew, dad stepped to the shadows. He let me search, seek and find. He'd appear here and there to help clear the air, correct, or tell me I'm fine.

(Chorus)

I turned around and dad was much older. It was my turn to teach this time. Things like it's ok to hug. To be open with our love. Let him know he was a friend of mine.

(Chorus)

Yes, nothing is forever. But the love we show as we continue to grow can never be measured in time.

(spoken) I Love You Dad
