First off, let me say Congratulation Dave and Totie and I wish you both every happiness. Secondly, I would like to say that I was raised in a Catholic family and taught to believe that adultry was a sin, however as an adult in an absolutely horrible marital situation, I came to believe that God does not put us on this earth to be miserable. I can not believe that God will disown us for seeking the "right" person, the one who makes us feel that two have become one. I truly envy those of you who found Mr or Mrs Right the first time and live happily ever after. For me, it was the second time around and I have now enjoyed 12 years with my "soul mate" as opposed to 19 years of pure hell. While I do not think that looking for married people should become a national pastime, I do believe each and every person has the right to happiness and while the Church may not condone it, I believe God is more understanding.
Best of luck to the two of you.
Linda
