Subject: The First Challenge

CatMom frequently uses the phrase "OFC" standing for Our Favorite Commander. Well the first time I saw it here, I automatically wondered... who is our favorite commander? Is it Harm, or Cmdr Winkie? Or is it a toss up? (Not that I'm saying we should toss them both up, I'm just saying... actually you know that's not a bad idea. The "up" part anyway...) So there's the question ladies... who is the Harmyboard OFC? Should we give the title to Harm and let Cmdr Winkie be named MVP? What do you think?

Team 1

OFC should be Harm of course. Without him, CW would just be floating around, wrinkly, lonely, with no where to go. Make CW MVP. (NT) -- Cece

Sorry I didn't check back in after my origial answer. Work kep me busy, then home repair. My kitchen sink has a major clog. Tried the baking soda and vinager bit, no good. have taken off the trap and am working some tubing down the drain, but to do this properly, I need to remive the last pipe before the wall and I think I need a bigger tool, no, no, I didnl;t mean that, I need a stronger tool, no no not that either. help! Oh, I hope this isn't too late this looks fun and should get me into thinking mode again. I would love to sign up and I think that OFC is definitely Harm. CW is just a very nice bonus package that comes along with our one and only (NT) -- minnie

AH! MAN vs.WINKIE--Is a Man a Man without his Winkie? Is a Winkie a Winkie without his Man? These are the age -old questions and they won�t be answered today but to the point�I say that Harm is without question our favorite Commander. We gaze at his face and form lovingly. We analyze his every word. Can the same be said for CW? Where are the WINKIE collages? And he hardly ever has anything worthwhile to say. While we will always hold CW close to our heart, Harm is and always will be Our Favorite Commander. (NT) -- manette

You can't have one without the other, however Harm is the OFC--he's got it all wrapped up in a tight bundle (looks, smile, personality, intellect)--the double fundge chocolate cake (If I can use an analogy), Commander Winkie is the MVP--He's the silent partner until his services are needed--thus the icing on the cake! Unless we pull a Mrs. Bobbett, I think Harm HAS to be OFC. Without him, CW is just another piece of meat slapped on a plate. (NT) -- LKA

We definitely have to consider Harm as OFC. Cmd W.(altough a "package" in his own right) is only part of the greater package. Without all of his many aluring pieces (his smile, his charm, his bod, his adorable vulnerable moments, his great a**, not to mention CW himself) The package would be incomplete, and we would not find fulfilment at the end of our quest... OFC=Harm. The man is just OMG Gorgeous. And Commander Winkie is a very important part of the package so he would be MVP, he does have that tendancy (sp?) to salute at the wrong times and dribbles when not used enough. (NT) -- Cathy F

I vote OFC of the Harmyboard must be Harm his looks and personality make his ladies here in Harmyland swoon. As for Commander Winkie's looks, presence, bearing and strength they are best kept in Harm's cockpit for the right time and place and thus he definitely is the MVP. I'm still a little new around here, but I'd have to say OFC is Harm. Let's face it, none of us has ever SEEN CW (or have you, lol). How could we overlook Harm's smile, eyes, voice, and charming if slightly clueless attitude. (NT) -- kstorm

OFC is the whole HRJr package! Would he be the favorite without the flyboy grin? Would he be the same with out the cocky FJ attitude? The killer body? That adorable mixture of arrogance and shyness?? I think not. Let us remember, the Faire Marine fell in love with the entire package, SANS Commander Winkie. While she must certainly know of Commander W's existance, he has truely not made himself a true part of the whole equation. Commander Winkie would definately be the MVP, however, and I certainly hope that we will get to "witness" his playing sometime in the very near future!!! (NT) -- CM>^.,.^<,

Harm!!!! Defnitely Harm, Commander Harmon Rabb, Jr. 'Flyboy', 'Stickboy', 'Sailor'.... Harm..... Without him there wouldn't be a Cmdr Winkie so aha, yupyup, Harm.... OFC = Harm.... First, one must look at what MVP would stand for... Most Valuable Part? More Veryyummies Please? Until this is resolved, I'm thinking OFC is Harm and his package, although the package itself is MVP. :o) (NT) -- JBird

I'm of the opinion that OFC and Commander winkie should be considered two seperate entities, the reason being both have their own brain, we all know that Harm being a red blooded male, is incapable of thinking with his head (on his shoulders) when it comes to women (especially Mac), this is where CW enters the equasion!! he takes over where Harm has left off!! (sorry it took me so long,today is the last day, right?). 2) the phrase "OFC" orginated at Maeve's over a year ago (maybe more) and I don't know who started it, but CatMom may be the heaviest user of the phrase (will have to check Guinness to be sure). 3) TO ANSWER THE CHALLENGE! Its Harm! He is the whole package, not his package! His looks,his brains,his compassion and passion.He has all the ideal traits all wrapped up in a 6'4" beautiful package! The man vs. his love tool. Hmmm. Hard to choose. On the one hand (or should I say *in* the one hand?) we have a yet-unseen body part full of intrigue (and other natural substances). Then on the other hand, we have the heart-throb himself. I think I'd have to go with Harm (the whole bundle) as OFC. Harm will lead, CW will follow. Well, isn't CW sort of included in the whole "package"? So I guess I'd say Harm, with the understanding that CW is part of the deal.... (NT) -- KrisL>

OFC is Our Favorite Commander but he is a team sport! Mr. Winkie is the team MVP patiently waiting for the bases to be loaded before driving in that final homer! (NT) -- Luoodles wondering whose team I'm on and wondering if I will actually post this! LOLOL!!

OFC=Commander Harmon Rabb, Jr., USN. As much as I would probably love Commander Winkie, it's the whole of Harm I love and not just the physical (though that's pretty good). He's such an intriguing man, with his sense of honor, his loyalty, his obsessions, his fear of commitment and all. (NT) -- CG

The OFC should definitely be Harmon Rabb, Jr. Without Harm to carry him around, Commander Winkie would just be another hot dog, lonely on the streets....yes, of course I love CW for all he's worth (that's a lot), but Harmkins still carries all of the...weight, if you know what I mean.
