In reply to: Mike (usual Mike) 's message, "Re: What causes SRS control unit failure" on 13:18:49 02/17/05 Thu

One day the SRS light came on and stayed on. That was what prompted me to bring it in. The code they show on my receipt is: 08-5 SRS Unit failure. This happened a few weeks after having an aftermarket CD player installed. I was wondering if it was something to do with that. I have also read that a low battery can cause the SRS light to come on, but haven't had the battery checked. (If having a low battery can cause SRS control unit failure that seems like a terrible design flaw.)
