Thanks for responding Glen,
Now I don't know if this is all the same but when I brake now the steering starts to shake, the rotors are fine but have a high spot and I will probably have to turn them, but they are new and the brakes are Honda pads, I hope I am not throwing anyone off. Now for the noise the more I think of it sounds like a Cessna plane when I reach higher speeds than slow but the noise starts at 30mph- and eventually gets higher to the cessna caliber sound at around 50-60mph. I let off the gas pedal to see if it is the tranny but the sound is still there but gets lower as the mph decrease. My question is could it have to do with the bearings, could they be causing this and with the rack and pinion leaking could this all be handled under the rack and pinion replacement. The tranny fluid is fine and of reddish/pink(normal) hue so I eliminated that as the fluid I was seeing, it might be the power steering whenever I turn the wheel all the way the steering fluid used to leak, that's why I figured I was told the rack and pinion is leaking and just assumed it was that, I just want to be in the know of what's going on because the mechanic gets pricey and sometimes wants to do a little more than is immediately necessary, but my other question which is the same as the above is if they do the rack and pinion swap out are the bearings that might be making the noise there as well, PS the cv boots are fine and so are the tie-rods and I have no play on the wheels,I jacked the car and checked all that because I had it where that was the culprit, I thought it could be the tires I put Kumhos on recently all around, I thought it could be road noise fom them but I am not quite sure.
Thanks again and sorry for the novel.
