In the relation to your "last question", fan went on after few minutes of engine shutoff triggered by high temp in the engine, which new water need to be replaced.

Here's another tips from mine own experience, sometime the car just won't start its result of delayed in the fuel pump...turn on the ignition switch to second then wait for the "engine light" to go off and pop(fuel is pumping) to start normal; otherwise if you keep cranking can't starts the engine, you'll kill your distributor.
