I heard that the airbag must be inspected/serviced after 10 years, but I haven't found any info on what has to be done. Is this just a check-up or does the airbag have to be replaced?
Also the "SRS" light came on about a year ago. The dealer reset it twice and it has stayed off until recently. Now that it is back on, is this a "real" indication of a problem with the control module or is another "reset" likely to be a safe solution to the problem?
(The battery has not been disconnected/discharged and no known electrical problems have occured.)
