I am guessing your car is an auto and the senor that tells the car it is in park so the key can be released is failing. Try moving the auto stick (in prk) when taking the key out. If it is not an auto, then it is possible the key cylinder is worn out; however, usually they will last the life of the car and the electrical portion fails.
