Hello Glen,

Thanks for the help (again). Yes, I have good power at highway speeds. Also, good "hill climbing power".

Could be a sticky EGR. I have another on laying around I could swap for a quick and dirty test.

It's an LXi - so not a carb issue. I set the valve lash very carefully and checked it once after. I could check it again just to be sure.

Timing was one of my thoughts. You helped me on this before. This is the car that I originally had installed the t-belt a few teeth off. Once I figured that out, i questioned whether or not to time it with the vac advance connected or dis-connected and plugged. You suggested connected so that is the way i did it. Timing, according to that method, is "spot on".

I'll keep my eye on it and try a few more things...as soon as the temperature gets out of the single digits!!
