yes, it was my toy magazine :)
I got it because it had information on the Transformer reissues that are coming out...
But to clear things up, it is not weekly. It is monthy and I pick one up every now and then because I am a toy collector. Reminds me of being young. That and I play with them when people are not looking.

Re: it's not weekly -- Glory, 19:33:43 07/15/02 Mon [1]
Hey, no explanation necessary...although I must admit I'm a little relieved that it's a monthly rather than a weekly. I have nothing against toys. I have a couple of different Catwoman figures, but that's about it. Oh and I also have finger puppets shaped like Hindu gods on my computer at work. Someone gave them to me. Divine action figures are hard to resist.
Now I'm just being nosy: Do you leave them in the original packaging or do you take them out?

Oh, I take it out...... -- Seril, 20:26:40 07/15/02 Mon [1]
the figures that is. I've only got a few reissue he-man figures still in packages, but that's it. I like to stand the rest up on shelves that I built (fancy shelves are expensive). Well, most are on shelves, I dont have enough shelves yet...
Plus being a large kid still, I enjoy things like toys, games, running in the park and daydreaming. I dont really fit the sterotypical toy collector, I like my toys out of the box and I bathe and go the the gym regularly. And yeah, I probably do have the biggest action figure collection you have ever seen. Got about 500 figures (not sure.. have not counted in a long time). just a bad left over habit from when I was young.

Purrrr...rowr. -- Glory, 21:37:34 07/15/02 Mon [1]
Oops, sorry, big action figure collections kind of get me hot. I've seen your pic, so I know you dont really fit the sterotype of a toy collector. I'm glad to hear you actually enjoy them rather than just hold onto them for collector value. My best friend got me a catwoman figure a couple years ago and it was factory sealed and all, and this guy I barely knew started yelling at me because I took it out of the box. I love catwoman, I'm not gonna worry about selling the goddamn thing. What's the use of having something if you're not going to enjoy it, I say.

yeha, toys are to much fun to keep in the boxes... esp. since I probably wont be selling them any time soon or ever.
BTW, speaking of divine action figures, check this out
Jesus Christ Super Store
I found this awhile ago and thought it was pretty cool, esp. since I have some religous friends.

Swe-e-e-et!!! -- Glory, 14:50:10 07/16/02 Tue [1]
That site is the hottest thing I've seen in a while. LMAO!!! I think I must get a couple of those, starting with Krishna. He'll go well with Kali and Ganesha, who sit atop my computer.
Also, you have to check out these figurines of Jesus playing sports. They're not action figures but they are SO damn funny!
