Subject: Speculation for Season 7

So, we've heard the Master will be back for a couple eps, now rumor has it Glory and Warren will return. What about Adam, the Mayor, Principal Snyder, Jack from The Zeppo? I think it's an interesting concept. Bring back many of the baddies for a Hellmouth on Earth. Kind of like .... Buffy .... it's your life. If the kids at the high school are going to see dead people, and the BB's are making an appearance could be some interesting tales to tell, or occurrences to relive. Not only would it be interesting to viewers who have been with the show for a while ... but newer viewers might get a glimpse at past events to sort of "fill in the blanks". Ok, I'm prolly getting too deep into this and Joss doesn't have this in mind at all when bringing back some of these characters. But I think there is potential for some interesting plotlines. AND for the characters to, having learned from the past, either do it better the second time around, make amends, or finally set to rest the ghosts from the past. Could be interesting. Ok, rambling now, gotta go.

[> I am *way* excited about this... -- Glory, 14:58:49 07/16/02 Tue [1]

At first I was unenthusiastic at best about the spoilers going around about the high school reopening and whatnot, but the stuff I've been hearing over the last couple days has me excited about the show in a way I haven't been in a while.

About reuniting all or many of the big bads from past seasons, it sounds like the writers have something cool in mind for next season. Normally I would say that this sounds like it might me cheesy but Mutant Enemy is nothing if not amazingly creative at finding ways to credibly bring back characters (at least so far). So I am WAY excited. (Unfortunately, it also looks to be a way to creatively end the series, or at least Buffy's part in it, but I'm not gonna think about that right now.)

And I am STILL bouncing off the walls at the news that Joss reportedly said Glory would be back for at least one ep next season, maybe more. WooHoo! Yay!!!!! My favorite character!!!!! A round of mimosas for everyone, on me!!

I thought the BB's could come back one ep at a time, kinda like a real live Restless. Then, as the Scoobies battle them all over again, all the angst, heartache or pain that was caused by the particular BB, could possibly be corrected the second-time around. Kinda like getting a second wish. Not only could we see all the BB's (some were so cool), but it would be a perfect way to end the series.
Kind of like the best of the bads;-)

Nah, not me. Don't really want to see a crossover. ;-)

[> Ok, Spoiler slayer's thinking shapeshifter. -- Phae, 08:42:01 07/17/02 Wed [1]

What if the BB this season IS a shapeshifter and materializes as every single big bad in Buffy history throughout the season!! And the THINK they kill it over and over and over, until the final eps we discover its Ethan Rayne behind it, or the Watchers Council (another test) or WILLOW!!!!!! Wow. hahahahaha, hmmmm - I'm just so full of shit. I think I'll just wait to see what happens, when it happens on the show. :-)

[> [> Shapeshifters are my favorites! -- Glory, 12:34:06 07/17/02 Wed [1]

Though I'm sure that's not surprising, considering my mermaid/hellgoddess antics here and on other boards.

Shapeshifters are used in a lot of different cultures to teach characters lessons, like the Coyote in Native American legends, Loki from the norse legends, and the Lady of the Lake in Arthurian legend. Sometimes they seem bad when they're really good, or vice versa. A lot of the time they are neither bad nor good, instead representing the 'differrent shades of gray" philosophy I love so much!

yes, Phae, can you tell I had a good time at my class last night! :)

I know I would enjoy it sooooo much! :)
